You may be thinking, how much of a difference can my 1,000 or 2,000 miles make. Well, a lot to be honest. Below you can see some of the numbers that we have been able to uncover on the donation of airline miles (these numbers ar as of April 2012)
- Since 1996, United Airlines passengers have donated more than one billion miles to meet the urgent travel needs of children, families, humanitarian aid workers and volunteers.
- Since the Delta SkyWish donation program’s partnership with the Society began in 2005, approximately 2.5 million miles have been contributed to help people facing cancer get the transportation they need to get well.
- Air Canada's Aeroplan program has donate over 240 million miles to over 100 supported charities.
